سعودی فن ٹیک کمپنی بارق نے 329.5 ملین ڈالر کی سیریز اے سرمایہ کاری حاصل کرلی ہے، جس کے بعد کمپنی کی مالیت 1.85 ارب ڈالر ہوگئی اور وہ باضابطہ طور پر ’’یونی کارن کلب‘‘ میں شامل ہوگئی ہے۔ بارق کے پاکستان میں ذیلی ادارے بارق پی کے کے مینیجنگ ڈائریکٹر زین فاروق نے لنکڈ اِن پر ایک پوسٹ میں یہ اطلاع دی ہے۔
زین فاروق کے مطابق سرمایہ کاری کے اس مرحلے میں نون انویسٹمنٹ، صحار انٹرنیشنل بینک اور ایم 20 فنڈ نے حصہ لیا۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ اس سرمایہ کاری سے کمپنی کو ’’سعودی عرب اور اس سے باہر ترقی کے اگلے مرحلے کے لیے نئی رفتار‘‘ ملے گی۔
زین فاروق کے مطابق بارق نے آپریشنز شروع ہونے کے صرف دو برس کے دوران 210 سے زائد قومیتوں سے تعلق رکھنے والے 15 ملین سے زیادہ صارفین کے لیے 440 ارب سعودی ریال، یعنی تقریباً 117 ارب ڈالر، سے زائد مالیت کے لین دین پراسیس کیے ہیں۔

کمپنی کے پاکستان میں آپریشنز کی قیادت کرنے والے فاروق نے اس پیش رفت کو اپنے لیے ذاتی اہمیت کا حامل قرار دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ بارق پی کے ’’اس سفر کو محض کنارے سے نہیں دیکھ رہا‘‘ بلکہ ’’ایک بارق، ایک گروپ‘‘ کا حصہ بن کر مشترکہ مقصد کے حصول کے لیے کام کر رہا ہے۔
